Platypow is based on a platypus that is modelled after a Muay Thai fighter, a martial artist that utilizes knees and elbow strikes in addition to punches and kicks. Coincidentally, the two lines are a two-lined evolution and have mirrored typings (the Platypow line is Fighting-Poison, the Croagunk line is Poison-Fighting), as well as evolving somewhere around level 30.
