These tools make it relatively easy to add content in perspective to your artboard. This feature is composed of two tools found in the Tools panel: the Perspective Grid tool and the Perspective Selection tool (see Figure1). Illustrator CS5 takes a big step forward with a comprehensive set of tools for adding perspective drawing to your artwork. (Scroll down on the "Get CS Live" page and click the Sign Up button.) Perspective DrawingĮver tried to draw something in perspective in earlier versions of Illustrator? I'll be the first to admit that it wasn't easy. If you want to test some or all of these services, you can sign up by Apand receive a free year's subscription. The services include BrowserLab for web page testing, CS Review (an online creative review process), and much more. This new suite of services integrates with Adobe Creative Suite 5 to simplify the creative review process, help speed up website compatibility testing, and so on. Something else worth mentioning is the CS Live suite of online services located at upper right in the Application bar (look for the blue circle). You'll also be pleasantly surprised to see that the interface hasn't changed much from the CS4 version, so there's little need to spend time figuring out where Adobe hid which features. The first thing you'll notice after opening Illustrator CS5 is that the welcome screen is no longer showing by default (Help > Welcome Screen). However, to help you make your decision, I'll take you on a whirlwind tour of these new and improved features in Illustrator CS5: Since I don't know your exact criteria for upgrading, I'll stop short of making grandiose promises. ![]() You're probably asking that all-important question: "Should I/we upgrade?" Once you know it's functioning properly re-activate your anti-virus and set exceptions for Signcut.Adobe Creative Suite version 5 has arrived, with exciting additions across the entire suite, but Illustrator CS5 in particular is full of new features and program improvements that promise to make our lives easier. If you suspect your anti-virus could be causing issues with your software, temporarily disable it- re-install Signcut- and test. Often Anti-virus softwares will have an adverse affect on programs like SignCut since they install themselves into other softwares, much like a virus does. I don't know if it's working for CS6 yet or not. The newer PC versions (newer than v1.7) of SignCut Pro will automatically install the Illustrator Plug-ins up to CS5, Corel X5 and Inkscape 0.48.2. I think saying that all the software they offer is crap is an over-exaggeration.įor anyone else seeking support on this type of issue: We suggest uninstalling and re-installing your SignCut Pro. USCutter doesn't make software they just sell (and sometimes support) software that others make Signcut Pro (life time version) Flexi Sign10(in every flavor), Sure Cuts A lot v.3 (Craft and Pro) as well as a being the only company to continue supporting SignBlazer Elements- 6 years after production ended. I have used every cutting software you could ever name as well as many you couldn't, and SignCut Pro is still by far my favorite cutting utility with any design software. There will always the "one-off" computer systems that just don't like this software or that software as well as bugs to be worked out for newer releases like the plug-ins for CS5 & CS6, but those things get resolved and 95% of people never come close to those issues. all software that uscutter offers is crap", in part because I work for USCutter (full disclosure) but mostly because in my experience the vast majority of people who complain the loudest about software not working, are the people who have no idea how to use it. ![]() Replying to old posts is ok because it still helps the rookies who are eager to learn from other people. ![]()
